i10 Brazil U-10 team debuts in 2021 Cotai Football League against CPK

The U10 team of i10 Brazil Football Academy will debut in the 2021 U10 Cotai Football League on Saturday (23), at 2 pm, at the Caesars Golf Macau field, in Taipa, Macau, against CPK. The competition organizers aim to offer more opportunities to children in this category who, until now, had no official games to play in the country located in southern China.

The field is split in two, halving the size of an official. Another change is the number of athletes, which drops from the traditional 11, or even the usual soccer society formed by eight, to five. There are four in line plus the goalkeeper.

William Gomes, director and coach of the Macau unit at i10 Brazil, talks about the U10 Cotai. “It's a super important competition for us, as we have a great difficulty here in Macau to find official tournaments to offer more experiences to our athletes, especially for these 10-year-olds. We are seeing it as a golden opportunity that our boys will have to compete and also to put into practice everything they have been training, the evolution they have had in training. Now they will be able to apply all the learning in the matches”, he evaluated.

The coach who will command at this match is Oumar Diarra. William Gomes introduces the professional. “The work that Oumar has been doing is fantastic. We can see the evolution of children, not only in the technical part, but mainly how they have evolved in relation to how to face a game, to participate in a game, to repeat the way professionals act. It's everything he proposes in terms of strategy in training and what we see in practice”, he said.

And he continued with praise: “What Oumar has offered for the i10 Brazil's U-10 categories has had an incredible effect. And we see the result of his work when the boys put it into practice in training and in the friendly games we've been playing. Another important reason for having coach Oumar in U10 Cotai is that he can closely analyze everything he has built against the U10 team in a valid competition, in an official game”, explained William Gomes.

About the opponent, the expectation is a balanced game. “Against the CPK team we expect a balanced game. They also do a very expressive job and, like i10 Brazil, they have a very strong U-10 team. It will probably be an excellent match for parents who are at Golf Macau to watch”, concluded the director of the i10 Brazil Football Academy”.

Coach Oumar Diarra summoned 12 students to the match against CPK. They are Archie Peade, Paxton Choi, Marco Chao, Hinderson Sun, Giovanni Aquila, Jayden Tam, Oscar Tang, Kaden Chan, Jasper So, Zak Robinson, Miguel Lei and Quinton Chan.
