i10 Brazil debuts at Trigo D’Ouro with an 8-4 rout over Benfica de Macau

The i10 Brazil Football Academy debuted with a rout in the Trigo D'Ouro Football League Under-12 2021. The commanded by William Gomes and Fernando Tifê beat Benfica de Macau by 8-4 in a match played on Saturday (18), on the field of Caesars Golf Macau in Taipa, Macau. The goals were scored by Lucas (4), Salvador (3) and Atif.

Even with a favorable and wide end result, the game was not easy. Benfica entered the field better and soon opened the scoring. The i10 Brazil reached a draw, but again, due to the negligence of the defense, it fell behind on the scoreboard.

The reaction started in the second half, with the athletes managing to put into practice everything they trained in the last few months. After tying, they continued to put pressure on the opponent and the goals started to come out, until they turned a partial defeat into a rout.

The top scorer of the match made his analysis of the beautiful victory over Benfica de Macau. “Today we played against Benfica and we had a beautiful victory. I think the team in general played well. We definitely have room to improve and we need to find a balance between attack and defense. For me, I think I played well, but there's also a lot to improve. Our team pressed a lot and was always looking for the win, looking for more goals,” said Lucas Sands, scorer of four goals and an assist.

Who also shone in the debut of Trigo D'Ouro was the striker Salvador, who went to the net three times. He also spoke about the victory: “The team in general played very well. In the first half we had a little lack of concentration and they scored first, early on and with a defensive error on our part. We were getting some sleep, but we got to the appointment. Then they scored again,” he said.

And he added: “In the second half we focused a lot and managed to turn the game around. And we realized that we had to keep pushing and with that the team started to play very well. And for the next game, we need to come back stronger. I leave motivated with this game”, concluded the striker who, in addition to the three goals, also gave an assist.

The i10 Brazil Football Academy returns to the field on Saturday (25), at 11:30 am (00:30 am Brasília time) to face Must CPK in a match valid for the 2nd round of Trigo D'Ouro U12 Football League 2021. The match will be played on the field of Caesars Golf Macau in Taipa.
